Finally got the picture!!!!!!!!!!!!

OKAY.... The picture at left is from the 2008 CBA Marching Band season. I march for my high school, our marching band name fits quite well with the schools name and mascot. We are the Standley Lake Gator Pride Marching Band. This season we started off really good and strong, but ended up sucking anyways. I play the tenor drums (four big drums, and a little drum). Said picture at left was taken during one of harder competitions at Hughes Field. For those of you not from Colorado, that's the football field the Colorado State University Rams (CSU) play on for home games. It's freakin intense. There is a freakin twenty foot tall wall you play towards that bounces your sound right back at you, makes it very difficult to play and stay on the right pace and in the right part of the music. It was intense, the field is freakin amazing. Anyways, this picture shows how concentrated when I get onto the field with my drums on, and how focused I am on playing my part. This competition was probably one I focused the hardest on, it was probably the biggest crowd I've ever marched in front of, and it was really amazing! I hope we do it again next year, so I can show what I learned from this competition to those people in those bleachers. So let me know what you think. OH and by the way the thing that looks like my nipple, is actually part of my harness. A lot of people have gotten it confused with my nipple, so I just wanted to point that out to all of you. :-)

This is my Girlfriend, Katie

I never would have thought that such a beautiful girl would come into my life. She did though, and I love her to death! Without her my life would be so hard to be happy in. She is the one I am honored to call my girlfriend, and I hope to always be with her, until death does us part. That is one thing i am going to put my heart into, bein with her forever, because I love her that much. If I am a star, she is the sky, that's how close we have become during the time we have known each other, and I love it! If one single dream of mine could come true, I now can proudly say that one of them has, finding the girl of my dreams. She is just amazing, and without her, I would be typing some depressed blog right now. I love her with all of my heart and soul, and hope that her and I last until we're a part of nature, and not on this earth!

Amazing Quotes

A strong argument for the religion of Christ is this - that offences against Charity are about the only ones which men on their death-beds can be made - not to understand - but to feel - as crime. -Edgar Alan Poe

Great men, unknown to their generation, have their fame among the great who have preceded them, and all true worldly fame subsides from their high estimate beyond the stars. -Henry David Thoreau

If there is not the war, you don't get the great general; if there is not a great occasion, you don't get a great statesman; if Lincoln had lived in a time of peace, no one would have known his name. -Theodore Roosevelt

I have never studied the art of paying compliments to women; but I must say that if all that has been said by orators and poets since the creation of the world in praise of women were applied to the women of America, it would not do them justice for their conduct during this war. I will close by saying, God bless the women of America! -Abraham Lincoln (March 18, 1864 - Remarks at Closing of Sanitary Fair, Washington D.C.)

The mystic chords of memory, stretching from every battle-field, and patriot grave, to every living heart and hearth-stone, all over this broad land, will yet swell the chorus of the Union, when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature. -Abraham Lincoln (March 4, 1861 - Lincoln's First Inaugural Address)

I have been shown in the files of the War Department a statement of the Adjutant General of Massachusetts, that you are the mother of five sons who have died gloriously on the field of battle. I feel how weak and fruitless must be any words of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering to you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save. I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours, to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of Freedom. -Abraham Lincoln (November 21, 1864 - Letter to Mrs. Lydia Bixby)

That I am not a member of any Christian Church, is true; but I have never denied the truth of the Scriptures; and I have never spoken with intentional disrespect of religion in general, or any denomination of Christians in particular. -Abraham Lincoln (July 31, 1846 - Handbill Replying to Charges of Infidelity)

I do not think I could myself, be brought to support a man for office, whom I knew to be an open enemy of, and scoffer at, religion. -Abraham Lincoln (July 31, 1846 - Handbill Replying to Charges of Infidelity)

I am much indebted to the good Christian people of the country for their constant prayers and consolations; and to no one of them, more than to yourself. -Abraham Lincoln (September 4, 1864 - Letter to Eliza Gurney)
